Premise of the Show

The show follows a narcissistic doctor and his team while they solve special cases of hospitalized patients. The main character, Dr. House, usually resorts to rather extreme measueres to ensure they find the cause of the illness, in which most of the time ends up saving the patients' life.

Dr. House is played by Hugh Laurie, who is actually British.
The set they used was an actual hospital, called Princeton in New Jersey.

When Hugh Laurie was auditioning for the role, he was under the assumption that he was a comic relief character, and not the main role.
